As I’m browsing through forums I’ve run into interesting problem. One of the forum users posted a question. Their company uses a template that has multiple Solid fills pattern in different languages (riempimento solido, relleno sólido and flächenfüllung). Because this fill pattern is a basic one in Revit user can’t delete it. We all know how upsetting can one detail be, so you can imagine how thrilled was he, when I replayed and proposed he uses one of our CGS Revit Tools, tool Fill Pattern Cleanup. It’s very simple tool, but effective.
Tool displays dialog, user select patterns he wants to delete and confirm the action with purge.
I’ve downloaded the free trial of this product, followed the directions to delete a duplicate solid fill pattern, the italian version “riemipimento solido” but to no avail. After clicking “purge” and clicking “yes” to confirm delete, it’s still there! I even closed Revit, reopened the file, and it’s still there.
Looking at several forums about this issue, the CGS software seems to be the unanimous answer, so I’m feeling a little at the end of my rope. Any insight into what I might be doing wrong would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance-
Hi Dana,
Great to hear you install our product. Regarding your question…Solid fill pattern is default (builtin) pattern and it can’t be deleted. If you can you send us a project file and we can take a look how the problem can be solved and figure some workaround. You can send it to me (mateja.matko@cgsplus.com) or to our developer (ivo.zagar@cgsplus.com).
Hope you find our tools useful. If youhave any additional questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
Regards.
Mateja
Thank you, Mateja. I have just sent you the file. It’s 21mb, so if you do not receive it, please let me know.
Update:
I have been in communication with Mateja and another person about this issue. The answer is that YOU CANNOT DELETE THE SOLID FILL PATTERN EVEN IF YOU DOWNLOAD THE CSG CLEANUP PLUGIN.
